June went to the doctor for her 9 month check up yesterday. She got one shot and the doctor was very happy with how June is progressing on meeting her developmental milestones. June has some stranger anxiety, she plays peek-a-boo, feeds herself with thumb and finger grasp, and can get herself to a sitting position. June isn't saying any words yet or making babbling sounds with consonants, so that is the next thing we have to look forward to. The doctor was particularly impressed with the fact that June can pull herself up to a standing position and move herself along the edge of the couch. We also talked about baby proofing the house in preparation for walking. Yikes! June weighs 23 pounds, 10 ounces which keeps her in the 97th percentile. She is 27.5 inches long, staying in the 50th percentile and her head is still in the 25th percentile at 43 centimeters in circumference.
